Knowledge Series Webinar on Converting Barcode Numbers to RAIN RFID Encodings
Webinar Date/Time: February 22, 2024 10:00 AM Eastern
The world consumed more than 30 billion RAIN tags in 2023. In total, there are more than 100 billion RAIN tags in the world today. This is more than 10 tags per person. Although this number may seem high, it is only the tip of the iceberg as RAIN grows rapidly. It is estimated that there will be over 1 trillion RAIN tags in existence by 2030.
Why is RAIN RFID growing so rapidly? Because RAIN RFID is the ideal technology to mark items and objects for automation, all at a fraction of the cost of other technologies. Airline baggage tags have them, car parts have them, consumer goods have them, your running shoes have them – and soon RAIN tags will be on pharmaceutical items, food, package deliveries and almost every other item imaginable.
The success of RAIN comes from its ability to have as many as a thousand tags in a read-zone, all communicating with a reader at the same time, and all serving to uniquely identify items in real-time. This unleashes the full potential of automation at a price-point that makes sense. Critical to this unique capability of RAIN is that the tags SPEAK A STANDARD LANGAUGE, i.e., the tags must be programmed using a standards-based “Numbering System.”
This webinar will outline the various standards-based Numbering Systems in existence today and delve into detail on the “catch-all” RAIN Alliance ISO Numbering System. It is simple, it can translate your proprietary number to a standardized encoding, and it works. It also pre-empts Tag Clutter.
Find out more about the RAIN Alliance ISO Numbering System and why it serves as such a valuable tool on your path to full automation.
