Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) is established to enhance Korea’s industrial technology and competitiveness as an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. For over 40 years, it has executed various technology support needed in industrial fields as a comprehensive testing organization, including developing testing and evaluation technologies and assisting companies to obtain international certifications, and has contributed to improve industrial technology.
Business Areas in RFID/IoT
1. Suitability test on mobile communication device : The suitability tests (RF, protocol, OTA, RSE, Audio, (U)SIM/SAT, MMS, NFC, etc.) are performed for mobile communication devices that support GSM/WCDMA/LTE, etc. in accordance with 3GPP standards required by GCF (Europe) and PTCRB (North America).
2. Bluetooth Performance Test : Bluetooth certification system is a technical system to test suitability and compatibility by Bluetooth SIG, and is a proper certification procedure to attach related logo to products that use Bluetooth technology. To certify such technology, the test must be conducted at BQTF that is authorized by Bluetooth SIG. KTL is a BQTF certified by Bluetooth SIG, offering tests on RF, Profile Interoperability.
3. RFID Certification Test : Performance tests and EPC global certification tests on all RFID devices such as RFID reader and tags
4. Wireless Communication Device Certification Test : Domestic(KC) and international certification(FCC, CE) and approval tests for various wireless communication devices
