Vizinex RFID, the industry leader in developing and manufacturing high performance RFID tags tailored to specific applications, has added new manufacturing equipment to its facility. The new equipment, the ASM MCM12 and a SCARA (Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm), will enable Vizinex RFID to increase its tag assembly capacity by approximately 30 percent while increasing productivity.

“These investments not only speak to our success to date – but to the growing need to accurately track assets in a variety of industries and the role of radio frequency technology in that effort,” said Sandra Garby, president and VP of operations, Vizinex RFID. “Vizinex RFID is ready and able to support those industries as we grow globally from our home base in the Lehigh Valley, thanks, in part, to the acquisition of this new equipment.”

The ASM MCM12 is an automatic multi-chip module bonder and the latest multi-chip modules packaging solution from ASM Pacific Technology. It is the industry standard in supporting various assembly processes and materials handling. Vizinex will use the equipment primarily for its high-precision, direct die placement capabilities, which will improve the workflow of bonding microchips to RFID tags.
